SuperVista AG is a vertically-integrated European optical group. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Germany, we operate a hybrid 'phygital' model that combines digital efficiency with a physical network of partner stores across seven markets.

Our Story

A decade of compounding.

2012

The Spark

Founded in Bayreuth by Matthias Kamppeter and his co-founders. With just 12 employees, the team set out to solve a major problem: high-quality prescription glasses were too expensive and the buying process too fragmented.

2013 – 2015

The Hybrid Revolution

SuperVista introduced a unique "Hybrid Model." By partnering with local independent opticians, they combined the price advantages of online retail with the professional service of traditional craft. The network quickly grew to hundreds of partner stores across Germany.

2016

Global Investment & Expansion

SuperVista secured strategic growth investment from Silicon Valley-based TCV, fueling international expansion into Spain (Gafas.es), Italy, and the UK (Specsfactory) — establishing the group as a truly European player.

2018 – 2020

Digital Transformation

The company shifted its headquarters to the Berlin area (Wildau/Königs Wusterhausen) and doubled down on proprietary technology, streamlining the supply chain from the manufacturer directly to the customer.

Today & Beyond

Today, SuperVista AG employs over 1,300 people across a network of 1,700+ partner and flagship stores, and is among the leading players in Europe's "Phygital" (Physical + Digital) optical market, serving millions of customers.

2026

PUB&GO Launch

Launch of PUB&GO — a new hybrid retail concept extending the SuperVista model into new everyday locations. Coming 2026.
